What I Will Do for You ...
As your coach, I will support you with:
-
Vision - finding, clarifying, and aligning with what you want to achieve
-
Strategy - eliciting the solutions and strategies right for you to realise your Vision
-
Mindset - uncovering and finding ways to unblock your current thinking that might be holding you back, finding those that will propel you forward, and encouraging your self-discovery and self-awareness
-
Skillset - identifying the skills you'll need on your journey, and supporting you to explore how to build them
-
Accountability - hold you responsible and accountable for your actions, if you need me to
I will ask questions that you may not have considered before and which may stretch you to think very differently or challenge your long-held beliefs.
I respect that you are the expert in yourself - my role is not to tell you what to do or give direct advice but to really hear what you are saying and help you gain clarity and insight.
Sometimes this won’t be easy; personal development is meant to stretch you and may feel temporarily uncomfortable - but that’s how you know you’re making progress. Change often happens on the boundaries of our comfort zones but the rewards include significantly heightened levels of self-awareness, which can be a revelation, and clarity around what actions you need to take to get the results you want.
As your coach, I will be the other half of your two-person team.
I will help you explore the way forward that is right for you, and you’ll have my full support.
I’ll believe in you, and we’ll do this in sessions that are non-judgemental, safe and confidential.
What I Offer
Executive and Leadership Coaching
It can be lonely at the top. Who do you talk to? Your business partners or employees may be part of the problem you want to address, and chances are your spouse or significant other is tired of hearing about your work problems.
As your coach, I will be your outside confidant. As I’ll be totally independent of your business, with no direct or ‘invested’ interest in it, we can work openly on your challenges. I will listen to your concerns, be your sounding board, or help you think strategically about your next move, and we can do this for both your work or your personal life as you need to help you gain objectivity that you can’t get elsewhere.
As a client, you’ll be curious to explore how much more you can achieve, eager for self-insight, open to hearing unbiased feedback, willing to experiment with new ways of working, open to thinking big and prepared to put time and energy into your own development.
Life Coaching
I can help you decide what matters, make plans, get motivated and take action to reach your goals.
Maybe you recognise some of these scenarios?:
-
you want to progress from where you are, but for some reason, you’re still in the same place you were months or even years ago;
-
you know what you want, but something is holding you back;
-
you're not sure what you want but you're 100% certain it isn't where you are right now and you're just not sure where to start
Maybe you’ve tried lots of things - reading books, or paid for expensive seminars or online courses - and while these generated an early spark of enthusiasm they don't seem to have helped move you forward.
I can help you with these, and more.
Together we’ll “scan” for unhelpful ways of thinking which are holding you back, identify which are most important to address right now, and work to undo them so they are no longer in your way. We’ll do this as often as necessary and after several iterations you will start to have some real clarity and we will work together to create your plan going forward – something that really taps into your inspiration.
Some Common Questions
Why Should I Use a Coach?
Whether ascending in the world of business or paving your own path we all need a little support. Living your best personal and professional life requires intentional self-reflection and continual personal development. We all have blind spots that prevent us from seeing the whole picture of our situations and the thoughts, habits and behaviours that hinder our growth. A coach can help you become aware of these and work towards removing blockers that may come up along the way.
Loved ones, friends and colleagues may have your best intentions at heart but they often lack the discernment to appropriately analyse or to provide unbiased advice. There is power in someone else, a professional, reflecting back at you what you say and see to help you find your blind spots, to encourage discovery and support you in creating action.
Change is difficult on our own - it challenges the stories that we have created for ourselves. A coach can help you see these for what they are, and if appropriate help you find new ways of looking at them.
Successful people don’t leave their progress up to chance — they grab it by the horns. Hiring a coach is a great example of how those seeking personal and professional development can take charge and be more fully in the driver's seat.
How Long Does Coaching Take?
Coaching involves a series of sessions, typically about an hour each, spread over several weeks or months. The number of sessions you want will be agreed at the outset along with any other “ground rules” for the coaching partnership.
